Annual Picnic & Shoot July 27, 2008
The
day was full of food, music, special shoots, and of course raffles all day long.
Steve
Summers and Lynn Lacy from Q98.5 Radio Station in Rockford Illinois come to
fulfill the challenge made to Steve Summers to have a shoot off with Lynn Lacy.
Before
the shoot off Steve shot against Cody Dalton who is one of our trap pullers and
we
are
proud to say Cody won that shot off. Later in the day Steve and Lynn went
head to head
and
Lynn Lacy won that shoot off.

May 17, 2008, Izaak Walton Ground Clean up
A parcel of woods approximately 7 acres located
behind the Beloit Chapter of Izaak
Walton was
discovered that someone has been using this land
as their personal dumping ground.
Powers School, Pack 358, Den #4 came out to
Izaak Walton for ½ a day and helped do a land clean up.
The boys removed items such as lumber,
tractor tires, car parts, vehicle bumpers, coolers, carpeting,
plastic items, and steal barrels just to name a few items.
Thanks to the Powers School Pack 358, Den 4, and Rock Disposal who was very
generous and
donated a dumpster for the event.
Also
some members of Izaak Walton donated a day of manual labor to assist with needed
painting,
flower planting, and other maintenance needs.
